How "Schematic on the Fly"® Works
Step 1.
Our previous Database Systems stored Termination Data, Cable ID and other information sufficient to create Cabel Labels and provide non graphical cable management.
Below is a Database from our previous Database System:
Step 2.
Given the value of the data in their Database, users expressed the desire to use it for other purposes. To provide these advanced features we added fields for Equipment and Signal Flow. Below is a Database from our new system, the new fields: Equipment A and Equipment B fields can be seen, apart from that it is identical to the original database above:
Step 3.
It may seem hard to believe but the block circuit created by "Schematic on the Fly"® (below) is identical to the cable schedule (or list) shown above in Step 2. The additional fields have enabled "Schematic on the Fly"® to create a block circuit without any additional work by the user.
Step 4.
If you need Cable Data as well then "Schematic on the Fly"® will include that also:
All this and you haven't had to draw anything....Cable Management can't get any simpler!!
